Vintage fairground at Brides the Show!

Did you manage to make it down to Brides the Show this year? Wasn’t it fabulous?!

(Visit the official site)

We had such a great time creating our vintage fairground themed stand at the Brides the Show and met some lovely new brides-to-be along with event and wedding planning professionals!

We’d been planning this show for a few months so it was a great feeling to see it all come together!

We created a platform for ‘Babs’, our large fairground horse, to stand on. This meant people were able to step up onto her to have a ride and blow bubbles. As if at their very own fairground! The frame itself is moveable and works wonderful at weddings for guests to have pictures behind.

This years firm foliage filler favourite!

We filled the frame with frothy pampas grass along with:

  • Viburnum berries
  • Black Buchara
  • Pearl
  • Sweet Avalanche
  • Alhambra
  • Toulouse le Trec
  • Coffee Break roses
  • Glowing Alps hydrangea
  • Fantastic salmon coloured blooms.

Custom dyed our ostrich feathers

We custom dyed our ostrich feathers to a pale baby pink for Babs’ hat and also hand made the feather trees on gold leafed branch trunks which adorned the table scape. Our urn featured much of the same flowers as above with added striped amaryllis.

Adorning the table scape we collected vintage gold cutlery with plates bought from Anthropolgie and the most wonderful of glassware from Selfridges.

Alongside the hydrangea and roses we added the oh so popular Cafe au Lait dahlia as well as red grapes and figs to create a sumptuous feast feel.

Percy, our wonderfully cheery sea lion

Percy, our wonderfully cheery sea lion sat at the end of the stand adding the final sense of frivolity. And did you spy our peacock adorning the bar area at the show?

Overall we wanted to achieve a luxury wedding feel with a twist. We get a lot of our inspiration from theatre and set design and believe that anything is possible when it comes to floral design!

We pride ourselves on creating floral dreams come true and would love to speak to you about your wedding flowers. Please do get in touch for further information or check out our website, instagram and Facebook.
