Each May, the world’s eyes turn to London for a spectacular burst of colour, creativity, and horticultural excellence, the Chelsea in Bloom 2025 part of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. But while tradition has its roots, this year Ricky Paul Flowers brought something radically new to the scene: a punk-inspired floral rebellion that turned heads, challenged expectations, and sparked conversation across the capital.
As a luxury London florist known for bold concepts and unmissable installations, Ricky Paul Flowers doesn’t just create arrangements – we create theatre. For Chelsea in Bloom 2025, our designs weren’t just floral…….they were full-blown artistic statements. This year, we took our place not just in the gardens at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, but across the city with a trio of headline installations that redefined what flowers could say.
From our provocative Punk Head sculpture, to high-impact brand activations for Trinny London and Granado, we turned up the volume, the colour, and the unexpected. Here’s how we brought punk to petals, beauty to boldness, and rebellion to roses, at Chelsea in Bloom 2025 and beyond.
Punk, But Make It Floral
Every creative journey starts with a question. Ours was simple: What would happen if punk and petals collided?
The answer? The Punk Head, our signature installation for Chelsea in Bloom 2025. Towering and unapologetically fierce, it featured a Mohawk made of dyed pampas grass, proteas, and feathery astilbe, woven with chains, studs, and safety pins. Equal parts sculpture and statement, it wasn’t created to blend in, it was made to stand defiantly apart.
This was floral anarchy. No symmetry, no soft pastels, no playing it safe. Just a celebration of raw individuality, theatricality, and the belief that flowers can have as much edge as elegance.
Visitors to the King’s Road, and to our social channels, were captivated. The Punk Head became an emblem not just of Ricky Paul’s creativity, but of the evolution of floral design in 2025.
For many walking by, it was the most Instagrammable moment of Chelsea in Bloom 2025, a reminder that floral design can be light-hearted, luxurious, and wildly creative all at once.
A Riot of Colour at Trinny London
Our next stop on the Chelsea takeover? A punchy, high-fashion floral experience for Trinny London.
Trinny’s brand is all about fearless femininity, confidence, and colour. So, we translated that into an unmissable floral installation at their London HQ that felt like stepping into a salute to classic fashion. The outside of the store was adored with a huge giant pair of floral scissors, and a floral thread that wrapped around the whole store.
The installation was complete with a huge floral bobbin and a giant needle all utilising in floral form the brand colours for Trinny London.
It was the perfect synergy of beauty and botany, created by a luxury London florist with an eye for the unexpected. For a brand that empowers through transformation, this installation gave flowers the same power: to uplift, energise, and express with a nod to classic style.
Granado’s Beach Scene: From Rio to Chelsea
For Brazilian heritage beauty brand Granado, we went full fantasy.
The brief? A celebration of sunshine, scent, and playfulness. Our interpretation? A full-blown botanical beachscape at the heart of Chelsea in Bloom 2025.
Complete with sea scape made with blue gypsophila and the yellow polka dot bikini, made entirely of fresh florals, that stopped traffic using yellow chrysanthemums and daisies. Whispering of faraway shores was the giant umbrella made of dried pampas grasses, giant orchids, and a range of beautiful fresh flowers. It was cheeky, joyful, and completely on-brand.
The Vision Behind the Vibe
Every project we brought to life this year had one common thread: intentional rebellion.
At Ricky Paul Flowers, we thrive on contrast, soft and sharp, pretty and punk, refined and raw. While other florists might lead with tradition, we explore what’s next. That’s what made Chelsea Flower Show 2025 the perfect platform to challenge expectations, not just follow them.
Our floral design process is always immersive. We dive deep into brand storytelling, explore form and colour through a theatrical lens, and then execute with meticulous detail. It’s why we’re trusted by leading brands across fashion, beauty, and hospitality, and why our work stands out not just at Chelsea in Bloom 2025, but across London and internationally.
The Role of a Luxury London Florist Today
Chelsea In Bloom: More Than a Garden
The Chelsea In Bloom 2025 wasn’t just a chance to showcase new blooms. It was a chance to rewrite the rules of what floristry could look like in this next chapter.
Whether it was the powerful punch of the Punk Head, the colour explosion at Trinny London, or the playful beach scene at Granado, every installation was a love letter to self-expression, to creativity without compromise, and to the clients and collaborators who trust us to push boundaries.
It wasn’t just about the show. It was about showing what’s possible.
