A Gingerbread House with a Floral Twist
The centrepiece of our Gingerbread Wonderland at Sketch London? A life-sized gingerbread house, seamlessly blending set design and floral décor. The structure was flocked in a warm biscuit tone, dusted with shimmering silver specks to capture that perfect sugar-coated look. To bring the illusion to life, we used expanding foam as a base for the icing and painted it crisp white, giving it a deliciously whipped appearance.
Around the rim, a lush garland wound its way across the house, accented with pops of bold red poinsettias, snowy white candy canes, and delicately cut snow flakes. It wasn’t just a floral display, it was a scene straight out of a Christmas story book and a key moment in our gingerbread wonderland vision.
A Staircase Story in Bloom
The Gingerbread Wonderland at Sketch London theme continued, where we added flocked gingerbread trees in matching biscuit hues, all speckled with festive sparkle. These miniature tree sculptures were placed strategically along the staircase and atop the famous pods, continuing the immersive feel. British-grown pine, snowy twigs, vibrant poinsettias, and autumnal leaves created layered Christmas floral arrangements, artfully displayed along the stair well. Every step told a new chapter in our winter story and that added richness to our gingerbread wonderland.
